Overview

We are looking for a friendly, approachable BSL Teaching Assistant to join a Specialist Hearing Impairment School in Birmingham, who has a wealth of experience in communicating using British Sign Language (BSL).
Our ideal candidate will be:
Confident in communicating using British Sign Language (BSL) and confident in interpretation
Adaptable in their approach towards individuals with varying support needs
Keen to join a supportive school environment
Enthusiastic and a strong team player
Be reliable and a great time-keeper
Able to offer consistency to the students and the school
Has some experience supporting young people
Experience within a school or voluntary experience within the Hearing Impaired Community
It will require commitment of working Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 3.10pm (and flexibility to stay once a week until 4.30pm for staff meetings). In return, the school offers a great team, a welcoming environment, competitive pay, and a new challenge!
