Huxton Resourcing are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and highly committed residential support worker for a home in the Derbyshire area.
The role will require you to work closely with vulnerable children and teenagers that have experienced trauma, child sexual exploitation and display challenging behaviour.
The suitable candidate will need to deliver a nurturing approach to the residential home and create a safe, stimulating environment. Staff need to be dedicated and passionate about their role and be willing to prepare the young adults into leading independent lives and enabling they develop the necessary life skills.
You must have experience working in challenging situations such as risks of absconding and be adaptable to using therapeutic and holistic ways to nurture our residence. Safeguarding is highly emphasised in this role.
You will be required to commit to the following shift patterns:
Day shifts: 8:00am – 10:00 pm
Night shifts: 10:00pm – 8:00am

The ideal candidate must:
have a NVQ level 2 qualified or above – desirable not essential
be a car driver – essential due to location
be flexible and adaptable to challenging situations
be able to recognise and attend to each individuals needs with sensitivity
be able to offer a therapeutic and holistic approach
